Reflection..

Wow! Time passes so fast. I think it’s time for me to do some reflections and like thanks giving speech to those who make a difference in my life. I know for myself that I have not been a very good friend who can lighten someone’s burden, who can comfort someone in an unique way and who knows how to cheer someone up. I am learning how to be everyone’s friend. Of course everyone treated me as their friend, but I hope to be more. Maybe to be a friend who can be their listening ears when they are feeling down? A friend who can be the first to be there when they needed help?
Some friends’ make me realized that all route aren’t easy to walk through. We have to learnt to impervious to criticism in order to do better. Some friends’ make me realized that they are inseparable from me even though we are distance apart. I had never felt this heartening ever since a friendship problem happened to me few years back. At first, my instinct told me that something was wrong. Maybe is my attitude and the way I treat my friends? But after giving some thought, I think that initially I am in no wrong. I treated all friends fairly, even if I am being insult, criticize or bullied, I kept to myself.
I learnt to compromise. Hoping it would be a better way to stop them from insulting me. However, it doesn’t help at all. So I drifted apart from them. Somehow, we are like fated to be kept in a distance. The causes of enmity between them and me are still not fully solved yet. But well… let nature takes it course.
Thank you many of you for entering and making a difference in my life. Words cannot express my gratitude towards all of your love, care and concern. But thanks and thanks for being a part of my life. In future, you guys might forget certain small stuffs that had happen now. But don’t forget me okay? Hahas. :D Keep scrolling till you saw your picture that we had taken together. A very special meal.

I happened to read this story on one of the websites. And I thought it would be good to share with all my readers. :) I am touched by this story, and am sure that my readers will too, be touched by this inspirational story.
Once there was a very poor and devoted woman who always prayed to the Glory of God, asking very little, if anything for herself. But one thought, one desire continued to recur and finally she asked: petitioning the Lord, that if it were possible she would love to prepare a special meal and have God share at her table. And God, in His Love for this goodly woman, said He would indeed come the next day and share a meal.

Filled with ecstasy, the woman went out the following morning with her meager purse and purchased such delicacies that she felt would please the Lord.

Returning home, she prepared a banquet and waited patiently for her most honored guest. Soon there was a knock on the door, and when she opened it, there stood an old beggar asking for something to eat. Being a woman of God, she could not turn the beggar away, so she invited him in to partake of her table. The beggar felt as if he was in a dream - such a feast set before him. He finished all the food, thanked his hostess and left.

The woman was only slightly disheartened, she gathered up her purse, her coat, and hurried back to town to get more food for her special guest. Her funds were less now and so the food was not quite so elaborate. Nonetheless, she lovingly prepared another meal and sat to await the arrival of the Almighty.

A few hours went by and there was a loud knock on the door. This time it was an old gypsy woman with no teeth, who was deaf, who spoke quite loudly and was, rather rudely, insisting that any true believer in the Lord would not deny her something to eat.

Though the woman had no more money with which to buy more supplies, she invited the woman in and offered her a seat at the table. The gypsy ate everything, did not even thank the woman and left without closing the door.

By now it was beginning to get dark both inside and out. The woman's faith was strong, so that, though somewhat distraught, she did not give up, but rather, looked around her humble house to see if there was anything she could sell in order to buy more food to set before the Lord.

She hurried to town with a little silver cup that had been in her family for several generations, but she was willing to part with it for the great honor that God was going to bestow on her - the sharing of a meal.

Late in the night she rushed home to prepare yet a third meal. She waited and waited until, once more, there was a knock on the door. Holding her breath, she slowly opened the door to find yet another poor man in the guise of a wandering monk, in search of a meal.

Again, she offered hospitality, with as much grace as she could muster in her disappointment. This man also ate all that was set on the table and left after blessing the woman for her kindness. So discouraged and dismayed was she that all she could do was nod slightly, in acknowledgment of the thanks.

Now it was too late, with no way to buy any more food and no more money with which to buy it. She got down on her knees, weeping such heart-broken tears. She asked God what she had done wrong. Why had God not come to share at the table as He had promised?

And God, in all His Divine Compassion and Mercy, lifted the woman off her knees, and holding her close to His Heart, said, "My child, I enjoyed your hospitality so much that I came three times!"
  -The end-
I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.

我学会了什么是知足常乐. 应该满足我现在所拥有的, 不要有虚荣心.
It has actually been so long since I last update my blog. What have you guys been doing? Doing fine or not? Not sure is it due to lack of post, my readers seem to have drifted away from my blog. Now my chat box is like filled with advertisements and so on. Lol! The footsteps to ‘N’ levels examination are nearer and nearer. Been staying up late to study, have to pull up my socks already. Play hard, and study even harder.
Hardly chat with the usual(s) already. And seems like there’s a distant between all my sisters, friends – even the closest ones and I. All my dearests, don't leave me okay! :) I might not online that often. But my heart is always there with all of you!

My First time.

Wake up in the morning and met those who are filming for 秘密花园 (Secret Garden) at Woodlands control station and walked to Republic Poly together. Today, I had experienced my 'first time' , acting. Lol. Although it is just a small role, I thought I had gained some experiences. It's fun, but tiring also. Especially when the scene needs to repeat again and again. Haha. I am looking forward for the next filming. :) But most probably after my exams bah.

After filming, went to washroom with Shirley and then headed to a vending machine and bought a drink as we are very thirsty. I think nearly dehydrated. Lol, joking. Took some photos inside RP.

Took bus to Woodlands MRT station and trained down to Orchard to have lunch with Evon, Shirley, Joycelyn, Swizzy(SillyKid) and Kenneth. After lunch, walked around to hunt for ToyWatch shop. All the ToyWatch are so nice! Hope to get one for myself. Lol. :)

We also went to find Jane. Chat awhile and we went off le. Promised Jane I will took her photo and upload it. But she insist. I still did. Haha! Although this picture is a bit blur, but she looked so cheerful and cute from this angle isn't it? :D

The effect is so nice. :) Look so dreamy. Hehes.
After that, Evon, Joycelyn, Shirley, Xing Yu and I went to Bugis, Dhoby Ghaut and lots of places too. Nearly used up all energy! Lol. Reached home at around 8pm. Quite tired now. Shall sleep soon. :)

PS: Ain't surprised at all. Not sad or emo, too. Really! Because I am getting used to it.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary.

Today hasn't been a good day for me. Not for today. But I guess the entire week after the start of peer tutoring for maths during maths lessons. I don't know how to put my feelings into words. So I can do nothing but to suffer alone. I know my the school scheduled peer tutoring is for our good, but someone, whom I will always see in school, happen to walk pass me will say this to me: "Shu Ping ah, 是钱的问题". This sentence always freak me out in school! For those who are curious what am I actually talking about, message me or if you happen to see me online, ask me, I might try to say. :)

After telling mummy, she told me that maybe the person who always said this sentence to me is concerned about my future. So that person wanted me to work hard by saying that the school has hired (which means school pays money) to the peer tutors. But from what I hear from the peer tutors, they volunteered themselves leis. And so, every time that person will used "Shu Ping ah, 是钱的问题" to strike me down. Obviously that person is a teacher. So whenever I look for that teacher to consult my doubts, after answering me, he will say "Shu Ping ah, 是钱的问题, must work hard lei". Can your imagine how I feel? Should I be :( , :@ or :'( ? Or shall I think this way: That teacher is just trying to raise me up, so I can stand on mountains, raise me up, to walk on stormy seas.

Happening to read this short inspiration story on the web. Shall share with everybody. :)

Tasting Life
Before the young man began his studies, he wanted assurance from the Master.

"Can you teach me the goal of human life?"

"I cannot," replied the Master.

"Or at least its meaning?"

"I cannot."

"Can you indicate to me the nature of death and of life beyond the grave?"

"I cannot."

The young man walked away in scorn. The disciples were dismayed that their Master had been shown up in a poor light.

Said the Master soothingly, "Of what is it to comprehend life's nature and life's meaning if you have never tasted it? I'd rather you ate your pudding than speculated on it."
Related Quote:
"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves... Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you will not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."

Mid-Autumn Celebrations

Went to grandma's house in the morning and left at 5pm. Cab home but I didn't go home, just went straight to Limbang Park for Mid-Autumn Celebrations. Met Horace, Lilian, Han Jian and Tsui Wan and we went to several places to buy sparkers, candles and lighters. Reached Limbang Park and we find a shelter and they start to played with cards. Jun Cheng and Ya Wen came to join us, too. :)

It is a boring night, seriously. Cannot even play with candles. Guess because the wax will be very difficult to remove bah. Rot at the shelter and decided to go back to Mcdonald. Took some pictures with Han Jian and Tsui Wan while Jun Cheng was eating.

Both are best friends of mine! :)
A best friend of mine, Tsui Wan. :)

This is a random photo I took at Mcdonald before heading to Limbang Park. Guess why I took this photo. Because Tsui Wan and I see that there's no one sitting at this 6 seaters table, so we sat there. My friend thought that the person who just left might have forgotten to take the newspaper along, so she flipped it open and read it.

Awhile later, a man came to us, I bet he's not a Singaporean, told us that he haven't  read this newspaper yet. And we only replied err... Then he told us he had use this newspaper to reserved this 6 seaters table. Ridiculous right? Ohmygod manx. He wasn't even queuing to buy a meal or what la. ._. After we changed seat, he went out to smoked, leaving his newspaper on the table Faint, what a strange person.

Very little is needed to make someone smile.

Yesterday I met William and Joseph at Causeway Point at 5pm. Went shopping, gaming and eating with them. Like what William has said, indeed we did many stupid things. Haha! So funny, and we can't stop laughing! :D Walked around to shop for Joseph's and Elson's clothes, as well as presents for Elson's birthday! Went to eat dinner and after that, we wanted to catch a movie. But, there are no movie that is nice to watch. So we headed to arcade.

I played 2 games with them and stop playing already. Hahas. And I start to message with friends, took photo of the two adorable(s) playing! ^^ Just by playing games and doing some silly things could make the three of us laugh out loud! Very little is needed to make someone smile. 所谓, 知足尝乐! :) Like what Shi Xian jie says, I hardly laugh out loud for jokes, even the most funniest one. But thanks Joseph and William for making me laughed! Hahas. :)
Look at William, he's so happy! :D
They look like Father & Son right? (:
After gaming, we went to Popular and more places to looked for some stuffs that they need for the one and only surprise on Sunday. :D Must bring more money on that day ok! Haha. I shall share a story written by me. Lol. Enjoy okay! Oh ya, the story ain't real wors.

I remember ever since my little brother was born in our family, my parents doted on my little brother more than me. They showered their love and care on him and their attention was always focused on my brother. I thought that the reason for them giving me more allowance than before was because they love me too. I never know that I was wrong, till the day when I reached home from school with an empty stomach, feeling extremely famished.

As usual, I walked alone without thinking much. I only kept thinking and guessing about what my parents would be cooking for dinner. When I reached the door steps, I could smell the fragrance of food. I hurried in and said:” wow, what will I be having for tonight’s dinner? It smells nice!” The reaply that I got from my parents was:” Nothing, you ought to cook something for yourself. Better not to touch the pot of porridge I have cooked or your little brother”.

I felt disheartened and I tried to change a topic.

I flipped open my bag and got my parents to view my results slip. They were frustrated over my ‘nonsense’ and they just snatched over my results slip and said:” no matter what results you get, you will get to nowhere because you are immature as you can see us feeding your little brother and yet you come to harass us”.

I ran back into my room with tears flowing non-stop, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and thoughts began to run through my mind.

That scene didn’t haunt me for too long and just in a day’s time, I could get on with life. I had by then decided to do something to seek attention from my parents. I met bad companies and started to smoke and take drugs. Whenever we saw police officers, we would all run in separate direction to somewhere deserted where the police could not find us. We celebrated every ‘successful escape’ through smoking, taking drugs and drinking as much alcohol as we could.

One night, when I got home, my parents were holding a cane waiting for me outside our apartment. I walked towards them and they questioned me about doing illegal things like buying drugs. I knew I was in big trouble but I continued to deny Their blood boiled. They threw the drugs they had found in my bedroom onto the floor. They ran towards me with the cane, and immediately, I ran away. My mind was blank; I kept running as fast as I could to another top floor of the block.

I climbed through the railings, and decided to jump off as I thought it could settle everything. As you know, before one dies, they will begin to reflect about their lives.

"You are our smart and adorable child".

"You had done us proud"!

"No matter what results you get, you will get to nowhere because you're immature...come to harass us"!

The next minute, I am in a coma. Weeks after the incident, I realized that I was lucky to have survived. But, I have to rely on a wheelchair as I am paralysed from the waist down. It affects my life as well as my future. I have difficulty finding a job, but I am all to blame.
