A visit to Peranakan Museum and First day of work at Esplanade.

Yesterday headed to school at around 8am. Met Tsui Wan and some other friends at cafe. Sat down there and wait for our attendance to be marked before we make our way to the bus. Helped the teacher-in-charge to marked attendance and you know what, the attendance was horrible. =/ Less than half the class came and as for next door class, at least more than half.

Listened to music in bus while resting. Lol! The journey to the museum was so long. So I managed to rest inside the bus. Haha. The museum is quite small, but it really takes some time for you to complete a DIY tour.
Han Jian, Tsui Wan and me! :D Peranakan's Marriage Style.

Myself with my best friend, Tsui Wan. :)
Peranakan's Dining Style! So cool leis.
This one is the costume of Peranakan (if I am not wrong). :) Didn't stand there to take the picture because the light effect was not very nice.
Overall the trip was awesome. DIY trip with Han Jian, Tsui Wan, Horace (mei mei), Benjamin and Jun Yuan. The guys were all camera shy. ._. Hahas. Board different buses back to school and I met mummy and sister for lunch. Went home to prepare and meet Lilian at Yew Tee control station. As today is my first day of work at Esplanade. Haha. Really wanna thanked her for accompany me. 4+ I went in to the restaurant and she trained home alone. =x

First day of work, company's dinner. First one hour we have to served free-flow drinks and tidbits. The tray was so heavy! My hand stayed at the same position for an hour, going around asking 'Hello Madam/Sir, would you like to try this...'. After an hour, someone helped me to carry the tray and put it down. I couldn't move my arm and fingers. My god. :( End work at 11pm. Shing Hoong and Xing Yu came to accompany me. :) Thank you people. Hahas. In train, my arm still cannot really move.

Today when I woke up, my body, arm and shoulder down all muscle aching! :x Hope I will recover soon because I will be working on Saturday and Sunday, too. Oh anyway, today I went to school for Art Fest. Mdm Lee, our school's Principal, make a speech. She's leaving the school as she had serve the school for six years already. She stood on the stage while prefects and and sports leader went up to give her a rose. Hot tears trickled slowly down her cheeks, as well as my friend's. As for me, tears are rolling in my eyes. Before the end of the day, whole school stand and sang the school song for her. I stare in disbelief because when it come to singing the school song, people will be a little frustrated. But this time round, everybody sang. (Y)

One of the sentences I quoted from the principal's speech was "To be happy is to be grateful to all the things around you".

PS: somehow, when I start to work, I become more mature. Because it's the time when I can put myself in my parents' shoes that earning money ain't easy. :') I know for myself that I might not be a pampered child but my parents never fail to give me the things that I yearn for. Sometimes, I envy other child for having the things that I do not have, but I did not tell my parents. But they seems to be able to read me like a book. I was caught off-guard when they approached me and say that they will get it for me some other time. I know that 'other time' will never comes but, instead of blaming them, I slowly erase the things that I am yearning off my mind. Like what my school's Principal has said, you must be grateful to all the things around you, other wise you will not be happy. :)
